जामिया मिल्लियाःपीजी छात्रों को शर्तों के साथ राहत

जामिया मिल्लिया इस्लामिया ने कक्षाओं में उपस्थिति कम होने के कारण परीक्षा में शामिल होने से रोके गए पीजी पाठ्यक्रमों के लगभग तीन सौ छात्रों को बड़ी राहत दी है। विवि ने परीक्षा में शामिल होने के लिए कक्षाओं में अनिवार्य उपस्थिति को 75 फीसद से घटाकर 50 फीसद करने की घोषणा की है। हालांकि राहत प्राप्त छात्रों को अगले सेमेस्टर में इसकी भरपाई करनी होगी और उन्हें इस दौरान शत प्रतिशत उपस्थिति दर्ज करानी होगी। उल्लेखनीय है कि जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया में इस वर्ष कक्षा में 75 फीसद से कम उपस्थिति के कारण स्नातकोत्तर पाठ्यक्रम के करीब 300 छात्रों को प्रथम सेमेस्टर की परीक्षा में शामिल होने की अनुमति नहीं मिली थी।

Jamia Millia Islamia administration on Tuesday revoked its decision to cancel the admissions of those students who had less than 75% but more than 50% attendance in first semester.Earlier the university had not only debarred 300 postgraduate students from appearing from their first semester exams because of short attendancse,but also cancelled their admissions after they were found short on attendance.

According to sources,the administration reviewed its decision after a group of teachers approached the vice chancellor,seeking leniency for the students.We still wont take back the students who had less than 50% attendance.Those who will be allowed to proceed to second semester will have to make up for the shortage of attendance and achieve 75% attendance by the end of the session.This means they will be required to have almost 100% attendance in the second semester said Simi Malhotra,media coordinator of Jamia.
